The Zonta Club of Defiance advocacy committee and Defiance College Office of Campus Wellness will present a free human trafficking awareness event on Wednesday at Defiance College’s Schomburg Auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. when resource tables will be available from Truckers Against Trafficking, Sarah’s Friends, House of Ruth, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness along with the Defiance Office of Campus Wellness and the Zonta Club. The Clothesline Project will be on display, which includes T-shirts decorated by local survivors of violence. The speaking program will take place from 6-7 p.m. and will include presentations from a local survivor, a retired FBI agent and an ambassador from Truckers Against Trafficking followed by a panel discussion with audience questions.
