Fremont man arrested in connection with an alleged sex offense

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department said that they have arrested a Rural Fremont man in connection with an alleged sex offense. Authorities say that 36 year old Markus DeGraw was taken into custody at the Sheriff’s Office on an active arrest warrant charging DeGraw with one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, and one count of incest. An investigation found DeGraw allegedly had sexual contact with a family member over the age of 13 but under the age of 16. DeGraw was booked into the Steuben County Jail where he remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
