Fremont man facing charges of Criminal Trespassing and Residential Entry

On Sunday morning Fremont Police Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person in a residence located in the 500 block of North Coldwater Street. Upon arrival, Fremont Police say their officers found a back door to the residence open. Officers entered the residence and encountered 19 year old Shane Hicks of Fremont, inside of the residence. Fremont Police say Hicks was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Steuben County Jail. According to authorities, Hicks was charged with Criminal Trespassing and Residential Entry. The incident happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday.
