A Fulton County youth earned a top honor, and a major sale, at this year’s Ohio State Fair Sale of Champions livestock auction. Ali Genter exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Meat Chickens, which sold for $13,000 to The Kroger Company during the annual event held on Sunday. The cap for Genter’s award was $5,000, with the remainder of the funds going to the Virgil L. Strickler Youth Reserve Program, which supports scholarships, 4-H and FFA activities, and other junior fair initiatives. The program received $372,000 total from this year’s auction.
