Fundraiser Scheduled

A fundraiser to help with funeral expenses for Melody Bridges will be held Sat­ur­day at Area 51 in Ham­ler. Funds raised dur­ing the event also will be ear­marked for her two young sons. The 34 year old mother was killed last month in a motor­cy­cle crash in Williams County, when the bike she was a pas­sen­ger on hit a deer, and she was tossed into the path of a semi truck. Saturday’s event will include a motor­cy­cle mini-run. The cost is $15 a cou­ple and $10 for a sin­gle. The main ben­e­fit begins at 6 p.m. and will include a 50/50 raf­fle and an auc­tion with donated items. There will be a DJ pro­vid­ing music, and food will be avail­able.
