Gambling Charges Leveled

A Defi­ance Grand Jury has indicted three peo­ple who allegedly oper­ated an “ille­gal gam­bling house” at the North­towne Mall in Defi­ance, and in four other com­mu­ni­ties.

38 year old Mar­vin Dabish, 39 year old Robert Dabish, and 59 year old Nadia Dabish, all of Ore­gon, are now fac­ing more than 40 charges, includ­ing engag­ing in a pat­tern of cor­rupt activ­ity; vio­la­tion of casino gam­ing laws; pos­sess­ing crim­i­nal tools; gam­bling; and oper­at­ing a gam­bling house. Many of those charges are seri­ous felonies. The Dabishes own the Talk-N-Win Inter­net Cafe at North­towne Mall which was searched by author­i­ties and then shut down last Decem­ber. They also own Talk-N-Win cafes in Find­lay, Fre­mont, Ore­gon and Toledo. The Dabishes are sched­uled to be arraigned on March 18 in Defi­ance County Com­mon Pleas Court.
