Geneveve L. Timbrook, 92

Geneveve L. Timbrook, 92, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at her residence in Hicksville.  Geneveve was born January 1, 1930, in Montgomery County, Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lee and Gladys (Warford) Bigham. She was a 1947 graduate of Ohio City Liberty High School and continued her education, graduating from Warner Beauty College in 1948. Geneveve worked as a manicurist at Wolf and Dessauer in Fort Wayne, Indiana for two years. She then worked at Azar’s Commissary for 10 years.  Geneveve married Wayne Timbrook on August 5, 1950, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2013. She volunteered at the Hicksville Hospital gift shop, CAREP, and taught calligraphy. She was a member of County Line Church of God, Auburn, Indiana, and she taught Sunday School for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed doing calligraphy, completing word puzzles, and tending to her plants.

Surviving are her five children, Diane Timbrook of Darlington, South Carolina, Susan Wilson of Hicksville, Ohio, Ron Timbrook of Edgerton, Ohio, Virginia (Guy) Mackling of Hicksville, Ohio and Rodney Timbrook, Fort Wayne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Joshua (Ellen) Wilson, Amanda (James) Nichols, Randi Ross, Carrie (Ryan) Albright, and Allen Timbrook; 11 great-grandchildren, Logan, Brock, Eric, and Ezra Wilson, Kayla, Paige, Ariana, and Tyler Nichols, Brett Beacher, Karter and Korrie Albright; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Belle Martin of Van Wert, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; son, Timothy Timbrook; grandson, Jeremiah Wilson; four sisters and four brothers.

Visitation for Geneveve will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Schlatter officiating. Interment will follow in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
