Golf Cart Pulled From Pond

On Mon­day after­noon, the folks who run Eagle Rock Golf Course had to deal with fig­ur­ing out just how to get a golf cart out of a pond at Car­pen­ter Road and East River Drive. Defi­ance Police say the cart was being oper­ated at a high rate of speed by high school stu­dents who had been play­ing ear­lier at the course. That’s when the cart went out of con­trol and slammed into a tree, before com­ing to rest in the pond. A tow truck dri­ver was called to the scene at 6 last evening to try to pull it out.
