A 19-year-old man is arrested after a 17-year-old is shot in the back while riding in a car on County Road 7A, five miles south of Garrett. Investigators say the victim was in the backseat when he was struck by a bullet. They add Blake Purdy is the one who fired several shots at the vehicle. The victim was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital and released after treatment. Purdy has weapons charges.
