In a recent update from Palmer Energy, the Henry County Commissioners were told that the first two floors in the Henry County Courthouse have been fitted with sensors to help control heating and air conditioning, as part of an energy upgrade.
The controls also help the maintenance department more easily lower the temperature for weekends and extended holidays in the courthouse, and regulate individual sections on floors, according to Palmer.
Commissioners at their recent meeting, also discussed, with the Henry County Health Department, issues of maintenance and rental costs.
Those discussions arose from the fact that the health district is a joint city-county department, and it is not a full Henry County facility.
