Henry County man was charged with a felony after church break-in

A Henry County man was charged with a felony after he allegedly broke into a church early Sunday morning. 38 year old William Southam of Hamler, was charged with breaking and entering. According to the Wauseon Police Department, officers were called to an alarm shortly after 4 a.m. at Crossroads Church on E. Leggett St. Police were in the area at the time and observed a vehicle leave the parking lot. After a brief pursuit, the suspect led officers to his apartment complex before fleeing on foot. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office brought in its K9 unit to track Southam, who was then taken into custody and transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. No injuries were reported.
