Henry Gets Cooled

A new chilling unit is on the way to the Henry County Courthouse.

County Commissioners approved the replacement unit at a total cost of $283,620, which includes equipment and installation, saying it will make a significant improvement to the air conditioning in the 130 year old building.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that the project won’t get underway until after the current cooling season is done, with completion expected in early November.

Air conditioning issues have plagued the courthouse for a long time.
