Henry Litter Clean-Up Scheduled

A sure sign of spring is the fact that organizers are getting ready for the 17th annual Henry County Litter Roundup.

26 organizations and 26 families, totaling 587 people, participated in last year’s event and covered 204 miles of roads. There are 800 miles of county and township roads in Henry County, so organizers are hoping for an even larger turnout this year.

Individuals and families may sign up to clean one mile or more, while organizations need to sign up to clean two miles or more. The deadline for registering a group is March 31. The actual clean-up is scheduled for the entire month of April.

Those interested in participating should call the Henry County Solid Waste office at 419–256-7343 or email henrycountylitter@bright.net.
