HENRY RELAY FOR LIFE RAISES FUNDS

A record num­ber of par­tic­i­pants and vis­i­tors turned out for the Relay for Life of Henry County on Fri­day evening and Sat­ur­day morn­ing at the Henry County Fair­grounds in Napoleon.

Offi­cials report that $210,768 dur­ing the relay, which they say, in com­bi­na­tion with events yet planned, may be a record set­ter. Last year’s total was about $197,000.

At the Henry County Hos­pi­tal employ­ees num­ber­ing more than 200 par­tic­i­pated in var­i­ous func­tions, from par­tic­i­pat­ing in the relay to man­ning their stand.

Relay for Life events are for the Amer­i­can Can­cer Soci­ety, which uses the pro­ceeds for can­cer research and to assist patients with cancer.
