A 5-year-old boy in Kendallville suffers minor injuries after he crashes his dad’s car in a failed attempt to visit a relative. Officers got the call after a mailbox was hit on Kammerer Road. Then, an off-duty Noble County deputy sees the car heading west on U.S. 6, approaching the Riley Street intersection. The boy makes a left turn on Riley and crashes into a concrete wall in front of Community State Bank. The vehicle continued into the parking lot hitting a Jeep…that was then pushed into another Jeep. Officers say the boy had taken his father’s key and wanted to go to a relative’s house.
