Hilkert Wins Again

Incumbent Williams County Commissioner, Lew Hilkert brushes aside a pair of challengers to win another four-year term as a Williams County Commissioner. Hilkert, a Republican from West Unity, totaled 8,480 votes, to beat Heather Freese, a Democrat from Montpelier, and independent candidate, Jennifer King, of Bryan. King totaled 3,924 votes…Freese 3,686. There are still some votes being counted. During the campaign, Hilkert touted his more than 13 years of experience as commissioner…and more than 50 years of experience working in banking and retail management.
