Hillsdale Considering Stricter Open-Burn Restrictions

Hillsdale city leaders are looking at changing the code that deals with open burning restrictions. A proposed amendment would ban all opening burning in the city between midnight and 4am except for cooking grills, meaning no campfires, open fire pits, or bonfires. Outdoor fires of any kind, including grills and covered fire pits, would also be restricted during burn bans issued by local or state authorities.
