Indiana Motorist Indicted in Hit-and-Skip

A Grand Jury in the Williams County Court of Common Pleas indicted 23-year-old motorist Cassandra M. Stickney of Butler, Indiana for her role in the fatal hit-skip accident that claimed the life of an Edgerton village employee. She was charged Wednesday afternoon with vehicular manslaughter, a second-degree misdemeanor, and failure to stop after an accident, a third-degree felony. Police say she hit a bicyclist along US Route 6 and kept driving. Keith Brown of Williams County was dead by the time police arrived at the scene of the accident. The Butler Police Department in Indiana and the Indiana State Police Investigative Section assisted with the investigation, evidence collection and the indictment.
