Injury Crash On 20

A Defiance man is badly hurt in a two-vehicle accident in Royalton Township. Troopers say Gary Pitzen, of Dubuque, Iowa, was eastbound on Highway 20. That’s when he goes over the center line and hits a motorcycle head on…ridden by Jack Long of Defiance. Long is flown to Mercy St. Vincent’s in Toledo with serious injuries. Pitzen is OK. Alcohol is not a factor…no charges are filed. The roadway was closed for about an hour. The accident remains under investigation.
