James M. Bok, 75

James M. Bok, 75 years, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at his residence. Jim was born February 5, 1941 in Defiance County, Ohio, the son of the late Milo O. and Margaret L. (Schappert) Bok. He married Pearl Stickney on February 9, 1962 in Sherwood, and she survives. Jim worked for International Harvester, which later became known as Navistar, in both Fort Wayne, and Springfield, Ohio, for 42 years, retiring in 2003. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement, Jim was always around when there was a repair or an improvement to be made, no matter how large or small. Surviving is his wife, Pearl, also known as “Minnie”; three children, Robert (Anita) Bok of Antwerp, Cindy Bok of Antwerp and Toby Bok of Cecil; six grandchildren, Steven (Robin Diers) Bok of West Chester, Ohio, Ryan (Sasha Gill) Bok of Schenectady, New York, Whitney (Peter Kharchenko) Bok of Sylvania, Ohio Lindsey Bok of Antwerp, Cody (Nicole) Bok of Houston, Texas and Tyler Bok of Fort Wayne; one great-granddaughter, River Bok; his brother, Craig (Nancy) Bok of Sherwood and one sister, Rita (Francis) Grim of Sherwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Christopher Bok; two brothers, Marvin and Carl Bok.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, where the family will hold a brief service of remembrance, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
