Marion Sue Tressler, 77

Marion Sue Tressler, 77 years, of Ney, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, with her family at her side. Marion was born November 20, 1938 in Sandborn, Indiana, the daughter of the late Samuel and Augusta Irene (Elkins) Ferguson. She married Richard L. Tressler on May 31, 1957 in Columbus, Indiana, and he survives. Marion worked at Bryan Custom Plastics for 25 years. She was a member of the Defiance Moose Lodge 2094. Marion enjoyed singing at church, camping, working crossword puzzles, playing a good game of cards, but truly treasured the times she spent with her family.

Surviving is her husband Richard; eight children, Terry (Cindy) Tressler of Ney, Jerry (Karen) Tressler of Sherwood, Rick (Carol) Tressler of Defiance, Donald (Susie) Tressler of Defiance, Ronald (Vicki) Tressler of Grover Hill, Randy (Brook) Tressler of Paulding, Helen (John) Johnson of Bryan and Sharon (Tom) Sproles of Ney; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Jean Burns of Columbus, Indiana and Betty Jo Phegley of Switz City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson; three brothers, Alfred, Robert and William Ferguson; and one sister, Maxine Myers.

Visitation for Marion S. Tressler will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Marion will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Adkins II, officiating. Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery.
