James Eugene Thornton, age 85, of Wauseon passed away early Saturday July 4, 2015 at the Fulton County Health Center.
Mr. Thornton was born on March 19, 1930 in BonJelico, Kentucky the son of the late James and the late Judy (Moses) Thornton. He married the former Betty Berryhill and she preceded him in death. Surviving is son; Brian (Linda) Thornton of Wauseon, grandchildren; Kelly Lawson of Mt. Pleasent, MI., Tami Hotten of Phoenix, AZ., James Thornton of Bryan, OH., Becky Coppock of Christiansburg, VA., Carolyn Thornton of Delta, OH., and April Ott of Lima, OH. And 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother, Bob (Pauline) Thornton, and sisters Pat, Emma and Ruth. Preceding him in death besides his wife and parents was son James Thornton and sister Betty Petry.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday July 9, 2015 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Dan Shilling officiating. Interment will follow in the Winameg Cemetery.
