Josephine L. Brinck, 93 years, of Sherwood, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Hickory Creek of Hicksville. Jose was born July 27, 1920 in Defiance, Ohio the daughter of the late Theodore A. and Emma (Woodcock) Michael. She was a 1937 graduate of Defiance High School. She married Adolph C. Brinck on June 27, 1938 in Defiance, and he preceded her in death in December 1992. A devoted wife and mother, Josephine was a member of the Mark Center United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Hicksville Eagles Auxiliary. Josephine loved to attend the Hicksville Senior Center and participate in the Karaoke singing. She also enjoyed reading Danielle Steele books.
Surviving is her son, Robert Brinck of Sherwood; five grandchildren, Julie (Dave) Grubb of Mark Center, Jeff (Deb) Brinck of Cecil, Shari (Steve) Clemens of Mark Center, Mark (Jen) Brinck of McPherson, Kansas and Charles Brinck as well as many great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Jerry, John and David Brinck; one great-great-granddaughter, two brothers, Earl and Elmer Michael and six sisters, Nellie Lang, Mabel Adams, Rose Larenz, Nina Goodfellow, her twin, Pauline Myers and Jean Gee.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place beside her husband Adolph at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood.
