Juan G. Rodriguez, 92

Juan G. Rodriguez, 92, of Wauseon, a World War II veteran from the Greatest Generation, passed away Friday morning December 29, 2017. He had worked at American Can in Whitehouse before his retirement.

Mr. Rodriguez was born February 14, 1925 in Sabinal, Texas the son of the late Jesus and Maria (Gonzales) Rodriguez. On October 6, 1946 he married Antonia Rios she preceded him in death in 1972. He then married Delfina Zapien on February 1, 1975 and she survives. He and Delfina were active members of St. Caspar Catholic Church. He was Ordained Deacon of the Catholic Church in 1975. Juan retired from active Deacon duties after 30 years of faithful service in 2005 and was elevated to Senior Status.

Surviving besides his wife Delfina are children Richard R. Rodriguez, Juan R. Rodriguez, Mary Olga (Marcos) Rodriguez-Morales, Roy R. Rodriguez, Chris R. Rodriguez, Gloria (Michael) Avina and Linda (Martin) Tamayo and 19 Grandchildren, 25 Great grand children and 3 great great grand children and many close nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Resurrection will be Celebrated at 11:00am Friday January 5, 2018 at St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon with Celebrant Msgr. Marvin Borger and Rev. Fr. David Bruning, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Caspar Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the St. Caspar Catholic Church in the Parish Life Center on Thursday January 4, 2018 from 2:00-8:00pm, where the Rosary will be recited at 5:00pm in Spanish and 7:00 pm in English.The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Fulton County Veterans Services.
