Judith A. “Judy” Morrison, 82

Judith A. “Judy” Morrison, 82, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at The Gardens of Paulding.  Judy was born March 26, 1940, in Defiance, Ohio, daughter of the late Marion and Beatrice (Patterson) Schaadt.  She married James R. Morrison on December 17, 1956, in Decatur, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1994.  Judy worked as stocker and greeter at Walmart in Bryan, Ohio, for most of her career.  In her younger years, Judy loved to bowl, and later in life, she enjoyed working on both puzzles and crossword puzzles, and being an avid reader – especially any books written by author James Patterson.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Julie (Randy) Miller of Grover Hill, Ohio; two sons, Jerrold Morrison of Texas, and Jeff Morrison of Auburn, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Karen “Kay” (Dan) Mclaughlin of Payne, Ohio; two nieces; and one nephew.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James R. Morrison; two sons, Joe Morrison and James Morrison, Jr.; two grandchildren, Tara Morrison and Michael Morrison; and one great-grandson, Tristian Leach.

Visitation for Judith Morrison will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.  A Celebration of Life will immediately follow in the funeral home on Wednesday, beginning at 12:00 Noon with a grandson, Chris Stemen, officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.

Judy was a faithful donor to both charities herself, so fittingly, memorial contributions can be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
