Kenneth Dooley, 88

Kenneth E. Dooley, age 88, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Hillside Country Living. He owned Dooley Electric for over 30 years where he serviced electric motors. Mr. Dooley also taught Industrial Maintenance at 4-County Vocational School and was a Scoutmaster in Edgerton. Kenneth was a World War II veteran who served in the Army-Air Force. He was a member of Bryan VFW Post #2489 and was able to participate in the Honor Flight program. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan for over 50 years, served as Congregation Chairman three times and was awarded the Parish Ed Award in 2005.

Kenneth E. Dooley was born on April 30, 1927, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Clyde H. and Grace (Donlin) Dooley. He married Altha M. Sturdevant on March 28, 1948 in Rock Island, Illinois and she survives.

Kenneth is also survived by a son, Joe (Ginny) Dooley, of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughters, Kathleen Dunbar, of Grisham, Oregon, Karen (Doug) Higley, of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, Connie (Rick) Normandeau, of Evans, Georgia, Donna (Rob) Bacon, of Marion, South Carolina, Susan (Len) Steving, of Waterville, Ohio, Mary (Jack) Melton, of Port Charlotte, Florida, Barb (Dean) Harrington, of Bryan, Bonnie (Mark) Spencer, of West Unity and Dee (Carl) Goebel, of Beechgrove, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Marcia Jean Dooley and a brother, Frank Dooley.

Visitation for Kenneth E. Dooley will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn and his grandson, Pastor David Miller officiating. Burial will follow at West Buffalo Cemetery with graveside funeral rites provided by Bryan VFW Post #2489.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Bryan Senior Center or the Music & Memory Program at Hillside Country Living.
