A Defiance man, who caused a fire at a Northside rental home last year, is sentenced. Jerry Kilpatrick was placed on community control for five years and ordered to pay $2,235.36 on a charge of aggravated arson. Prosecutors say Kilpatrick set fire to a home on Gibson St…it was gutted and considered a total loss by the Defiance Fire Department. There were no injuries. Kilpatrick knew the occupant of the home…the motive for the fire was drug-related.
