LADDERS USED IN PRISON BREAK

Ohio law enforcement authorities said on Monday the inmate who briefly escaped a state prison last week before he was tackled and tied up with rope at a small general store used ladders to get out of three fenced areas.

A spokesperson for the Ohio State Highway Patrol said James Myers got the ladders last Wednesday night after he hid out in a maintenance area of the prison where he worked as a carpenter.

The fence alarm of Mansfield Correctional Institution went off that night and that’s where corrections staff found the ladders Myers used to escape.
