Larry W. Herman, 54

Larry W. Herman, age 54, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 6:02 A.M. on Friday, December 2, 2016, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Herman was a 1980 graduate of Edgerton High School, where he played football, wrestled and was on the track team. He was employed by Tri-Wall in Butler, Indiana, for more than twenty years and was a union steward for twelve years. He was a longtime member of the Edgerton and Farmer Fire Departments and was also an Emergency Medical Technician with Medic-1 for fifteen years in Edgerton. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, coaching softball and any outdoor activity, as well as spending time with his grandkids.

Larry W. Herman was born on December 10, 1961, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Paul G. and Willa Dean (Rowan) Herman. He married Sherry L. Knapp on March 26, 1982, in Bryan and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Tracy (Chris) Watts and Jacquelynn Herman, both of Edgerton; one son, Jason Herman, of Edgerton; eight grandchildren, Hanna, Jocelyn, Avalynn, Tyler Jay, Jeremiah, Maddison, Brookelynn and Mason; his mother, Willa Dean Herman, of Bryan; four brothers, Timothy, Jerry and Louis (Mindi) Herman, all of Edgerton, and Joseph (Janice) Herman, of Montpelier, Ohio; and three sisters, Therese (Eric) Carlson, of Butler, Indiana, Barbara (Kim) Carlson, of Edgerton, and Jennifer (Dean) Lorentz, of Sandusky, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father in 2006 and a nephew, Blade Herman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Marc Tingle officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Edgerton.

Memorials are requested to the Edgerton or Farmer Fire Departments, Edgerton EMT Association or to the family for expenses.
