We mournfully announce the passing of Leonard Johnson, 82, of Edon, Ohio. Len passed away on January 11th, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Len, born to Richard and Maribeth (Stokes) Johnson, took his first breath on August 14th, 1942. Len attended Bryan High School and then went on to earn a degree in Education from the Ohio State University. He spent his entire career as a teacher in the Edon school system. He loved teaching and he loved his hometown of Edon, Ohio.
While Len never married, he lived a full and vibrant life with many good friends and a close family. He was loved by his many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces.
Len was an avid sports enthusiast. He was always rooting for his Ohio State Buckeyes and Boston Red Sox teams. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis well into his later years and was a track & field coach and official for several years. He was an enthusiastic fisherman for most of his life and greatly enjoyed his annual fishing trips to Canada.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Krill Funeral Home in Edon on Saturday, January 18th from 3:00 to 5:00.
