Liberty Center Fire

A total loss… that’s how the Henry County Sheriff’s Office is refer­ring to a house that was dam­aged by flames Tues­day after­noon in Lib­erty Cen­ter.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the Lib­erty Cen­ter Fire Depart­ment was called to a home owned by Mil­ton Reighard on County Road 4A just before 1 Tues­day after­noon.

They say high winds ham­pered efforts to put out the fire.

An exca­va­tor was report­edly called in to demol­ish the remain­ing struc­ture. NO word on what caused it.
