Local farmer elected to serve as the first vice president for the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts.

Local farmer Bob Short was recently elected to serve as the first vice president for the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts. “It’s the state governing board,” the Alvordton farmer said. Short said he was elected at the annual meeting in Columbus earlier this month by the board of directors. Short has been on the board of directors for several years and has given him the opportunity to go around the state and learn about the various issues other farmers face in their districts.
