Local officials bring statewide initiative to Defiance & Henry counties.

Local officials will bring a statewide initiative on May 8-9, Operation Bridge, to Defiance and Henry counties to address substance abuse and mental health issues. With the Defiance-based Multi-Area Narcotics Unit, establishing a new position last November for substance abuse and mental health matters, two local counties (Defiance and Henry) have joined the effort. They have planned two Operation Bridge events on consecutive days in May to provide a variety of services to those impacted by drug addiction and mental health issues.
