Police officers and deputies are honing their weapons reaction skills at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy sessions set up in the county’s East Annex Building on High Street. Active shooter computer simulations are set up in a state program to test and improve the judgement of law enforcement officers. Officers are met with a variety of scenarios requiring the use of a gun and then have to explain why they did what they did to an instructor.
