Local Police Practice Weapon Reaction Skills

Police offi­cers and deputies are hon­ing their weapons reac­tion skills at the Ohio Peace Offi­cer Train­ing Acad­emy ses­sions set up in the county’s East Annex Build­ing on High Street. Active shooter com­puter sim­u­la­tions are set up in a state pro­gram to test and improve the judge­ment of law enforce­ment offi­cers. Offi­cers are met with a vari­ety of sce­nar­ios requir­ing the use of a gun and then have to explain why they did what they did to an instructor.
