Local trauma coordinator named to statewide trauma board

ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital trauma coordinator and registrar Diane Simon has been named the chair of the Ohio Emergency Medical Services Board State Trauma Committee. It’s a board of two dozen health care and EMS workers from across Ohio that develops rules and protocols to ensure the most seriously injured trauma victims are matched with an appropriate level of medical care. Simon has been a voting member of the State Trauma Committee since 2003 and is a past president of the Ohio Society of Trauma Nurse Leaders. She serves as the vice chair of the Board of the Northwest Ohio Regional Trauma Registry.
