Long-term Research Site Deal with Soil Health Soon

A long-term research site in Putnam County will soon be available to deal with soil health.

The Putnam County OSU Extension Office and Soil and Water Conservation District report the project will be located south of the landfill on County Road H-11.

County commissioners are in favor of the site, saying the just over 9 acre site will offer a nice buffer zone around the closed landfill.

The new research site is expected to provide a lot of information that can be used not only at the local level, but across the state and nation.
