Lucas County Doesn’t Get Bed Count

Lucas County’s request to amend its Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio bed allocation for 2018 is denied during the CCNO governing board’s monthly meeting. Next year’s numbers were decided during a board meeting on Oct. 4. While Lucas County asked for 275 beds at that meeting, it requested an additional 50 during Wednesday’s session. The motion, which would have increased Lucas County’s 2018 allocation to 325, was defeated in an 8-2 vote.
