Madaline Rose Freese, 84

Madaline Rose Freese, 84 years, formerly of Bryan, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Madaline was born June 17, 1932 in Fremont, Indiana, the daughter of the late Claude Bu rton and Clella C. (O’Connor) Schoonover. She was a 1951 graduate of Bryan High School. Madaline married Robert Earl Freese on June 6, 1954 in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1977. She worked as a press operator in packing at Allied Moulded Products for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1996. Madaline also previously worked as an aide at the Bryan Hospital. She was a member of the Bryan First Brethren Church. In her free time, Madaline enjoyed sewing, gardening, and socializing with others.

Surviving are her four sons, Jeff (Brenda) Freese of Auburn, Indiana, Earl (Linda) Freese of Angola, Indiana, Dan (Rosie) Freese of Newbern, North Carolina, and David (Maribelle) Freese of Butler, Indiana; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret (Olus) Everett of Edgerton, Ohio, Sharon (James) Blalock of Edgerton, Ohio, and Sue Walter of Auburn, Indiana. Madaline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; three brothers, Claude Schoonover Jr., Larry Schoonover, and Duane Schoonover.

Visitation for Madaline Rose Freese will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 pm. in Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home- Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Bryan First Brethren Church, 13050 County Road C, Bryan, with Pastor Brent Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.
