MAN ACCUSED IN DEFIANCE SEX CASE

A pre­trial hear­ing in Defi­ance County Com­mon Pleas Court is now set for August 14th for a local man accused of two charges of sex­ual abuse.

Thomas But­ler, who is serv­ing a prison sen­tence at the North Cen­tral Cor­rec­tional Insti­tu­tion in Mar­ion on unre­lated charges, pleaded not guilty to rape and sex­ual bat­tery on Fri­day.

That sen­tence is related to charges of sex­ual bat­tery and gross sex­ual imposition.
