Man killed in Sunday accident involving train

A Defi­ance man died Sun­day when his truck was struck by a CSX train. Defi­ance County Sher­iffs say the pickup was trav­el­ing north­bound across the tracks near Spruce Street at about 11am when an east­bound train hit the vehi­cle. The dri­ver of the truck was ejected from the vehi­cle and pro­nounced dead at th scene. The vic­tim has been iden­ti­fed as 82 year old Robert Colwell.
