The West Unity Village Council selects Samuel Maran to fill the open council seat. Maran has been the band director for Hilltop schools for five years. He will replace Kirk Thompson who stepped down due to his moving out of the village. There were six applicants for the opening. Maran will be sworn in at the April 12 meeting.
