Marjorie H. Meyer, age 91, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 8:16 A.M. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Bryan Care & Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident. Marjorie was 1948 graduate of Edgerton High School. She was a homemaker and had worked in the cafeteria for Bryan City Schools. Marjorie was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Peace Circle sewed in the Rug Room Circle and United Methodist Women. She was also an active member of Bryan Evening Star Chapter 248 Order of the Eastern Star where she was life member and 50+ year member, Past Worthy Matron several times, Chaplin and organist; and was elected Grand Electa General of the Grand Chapter of Ohio in 1981. She was also a member of the Bryan American Legion Post 284 Auxiliary.
Marjorie was born on December 23, 1930, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Edward William and Gladys P. (Blair) Riehle. She married Gerry E. Meyer on July 20, 1952, in Edgerton and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2020.
Marjorie is survived by her three sons, Hugh (Donna) Meyer, of Grass Lake, Michigan, Stuart (Karen) Meyer, of Bryan, and Timothy (Mary) Meyer, of Defiance, Ohio, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Raymond Riehle and sisters, Carolyn Robinson and Miriam Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 903 Center Street, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral services to begin at 12:30 P.M. with Pastor Steve Rath officiating. Private family graveside services will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton prior to the visitation.
