Mary L. Flynn, 95, of Bryan and formerly of Montpelier passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Hillside Country Living in Bryan. She was born on Christmas Day of 1929 to Harold F. and Alta P. (Alwood) Moor in Florance Township in Williams County, Ohio. Mary graduated from Montpelier High School in 1947.
For over 30 years she worked and would retire in 1991 from the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in both Bryan and Montpelier as a clerk in medical records department. Mary was a member of the Williams County Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Montpelier.
She is survived by her daughter Jane (John) Patten of Bryan; two granddaughters Leslie (Jay) Collins of Savannah, Georgia and Kylie (Nate) Fenter of Hicksville, Ohio; four great grandchildren Matthew, Noah, Leelee and Myla; four step daughters Sheila Vollmer, Riki (Michael) Timbrook, Cheryl (Douglas) Michael, and Debra (Forrest) Hinkle; and a step son Robert (Carol) Flynn.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Flynn who passed in May of 2002, a great grandson Jesse Collins, III, step son John Flynn, an infant sister Marjorie Moor, brothers Howard, Harold and Herbert Moor.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 11 am – 1:30 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will immediately follow at 1:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Crisenbery officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial contributions in memory of Mary can be made to Hillside Country Living Activity Fund.
