Mayor: Loss of River Street Market is “devastating”

The loss of the River Street Market is devastating to the local community, according to Mayor Ray Delong. He said the fire that destroyed the market caused a “tremendous loss to the community.” He said “a small town without a grocery store is a dying town. It’s a terrible tragedy for the village itself … not only for Doug but for the citizens.”
