A Cecil man is arrested in Lucas County following a high-speed vehicle pursuit that began in Defiance County. Thomas McMichael, 32, was taken into custody near milepost 57 on U.S. 24 by the Ohio Highway Patrol. He is charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer…DUI…and more. McMichael, who will have an initial hearing on the charges in Defiance Municipal Court, was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. Officials say he was eastbound on U.S. 24 near Defiance County’s Flory Road…going around 105 mph. McMichael then led troopers on a pursuit through Defiance and Henry counties, and into Lucas County. It was there here troopers set up a spike strip to puncture the tires on McMichael’s vehicle. He was soon arrested, after that. The case continues at this hour by both state and local officials.
