Word of an extensive meat recall is coming in. State health officials say Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling about 132,606 pounds of ground beef products nationwide due to E. coli concerns. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says they were notified of an investigation into E. coli and determined raw meat was the source. 17 people fell ill and one person died from E. coli died back in July. The beef was distributed to Meijer and Sam’s Club stores nationwide, as well as to a Target distribution center in West Jefferson, 20 minutes outside of Columbus.
