Meth-Making Cache Pulled from Pigeon Creek

Police dis­cov­ered more than 25 trash bags full of items used to make metham­phet­a­mine tossed into Pigeon Creek this past week­end. Steuben County sheriff’s staff and Indi­ana con­ser­va­tion offi­cers pulled the bags from a stretch of creek between Golden Lake and Hog­back Lake on Sun­day. After fur­ther study, the mate­ri­als were dis­posed of the fol­low­ing day. The inci­dent remains under investigation.
