James Miller, 26, Coldwater, Mich., appeared for sentencing on charges of attempted burglary, a third-degree felony; and receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. He was placed on community control for three years, ordered to make $5,784.33 restitution to the victims and given a suspended 180-day jail sentence at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. The attempted burglary charge was amended from burglary, a second-degree felony, while charges of grand theft, a third-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony, were dismissed.
