A wad of cash along with a gun and ammunition remains missing from the evidence room of the Auburn Police Department. Over $2,000, a shotgun, the ammo, and some knives were first noticed missing back in January when someone went to retrieve the money as evidence in a case. Police officials think the weaponry was destroyed and simply not documented correctly, but they believe the money was stolen. New security measures have been put in place, and no charges or arrests are pending so far.
