Montpelier changes school drug policy

During Montpelier’s Board of Education meeting, the members approved a new drug testing policy for students. Beginning next school year, all students in extracurricular activities will be subject to the district’s drug testing policy, not just the athletes. Members also approved a five-year financial forecast for the school system. Lunch prices were set for next year, too. Grades K-8 will cost $2.50, high schoolers $2.75, adults $3. The last day of school this year is May 26, with commencement on May 29th.
